THON
The Penn State Dance Marathon, more commonly referred to as THON, is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. THON volunteers raise money for The Four Diamonds Fund and The Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital. It is a yearlong fundraising effort that ends in February with a two day, no sitting, no sleeping, dance marathon.
The Figure Skating Team participates in fundraising for THON through a variety of events such as the THON 5K, THONvelopes, monthly meetings with special guest speakers, and of course, THON itself! Our team hosts multiple public skating events to fundraise for THON, which allows Penn State students and the State College community to skate with our team.
With THON 2025 in sight, we are excited to introduce more fundraising efforts to help THON in its mission to conquer pediatric cancer by providing extraordinary emotional and financial support to the kids and families of the Four Diamonds Fund. If you have any questions about THON and ourTeam’s fundraising efforts, please feel free to email our THON Chair, Emma Wassel at Eew5307@psu.edu.

Meet Our Family
Penn State Figure Skating and the Faulders connected in December 2023 with the Adopt-a-Family Program offered for Penn State organizations involved in THON. The Faulders Family consists of Mom and Dad, Keaghan (8), Karsyn (5), and of course, their puppy Alfred!
